SurfSaver creates a searchable archive from the information you collect on the Internet. With SurfSaver, it's easy to permanently save and organize Web pages. SurfSaver saves pages (including graphics, frames, hypertext links, and other formats) directly from your browser. You can search and view saved pages even when you're not connected to the Internet. Powerful searches make it easy for you to locate any important piece of information. SurfSaver is an ideal tool for researchers, packrats, and anyone else doing online research.What's New in This VersionSupport for Netscape -- We've added support for Netscape 4.x browsers in SurfSaver 2.1. SurfSaver 2.0 only supported IE.Display most recent pages first -- A new setting in the Options dialog lets you determine the order in which your saved pages are displayed. By default, the most recently saved page is displayed first.Check for duplicates when saving -- A new setting in the Options dialog lets SurfSaver prompt you when the page you are saving already exists in your SurfSaver folder. You then have the option to replace the existing page or add the page to your folder.Script filter for full screen scripts -- On certain sites, Web pages contain scripts that do not allow them to be displayed in frames. Since the SurfSaver Search Results display pages in a frame, this is a problem. We've added a feature in v2.1 which filters out these scripts. |
